In celebration of their recent name change, Avantgarde dé Salon & Spa West (formerly Synergy Salon), will bring together local merchants to host Clip It For Kids, a benefit event to support Children With Hairloss. On Wednesday, August 19th from Noon-5pm Avantgarde will be providing free haircuts for anyone willing to donate their hair to Children with Hairloss. A celebration Open House and fundraiser will follow from 5pm-8pm featuring live music by the local band Natchez Trace, delicious specialty cakes, festive beverages and pizza provided by Vitales of Hudsonville. This is a free event open to the public. All donations will go to benefit Children With Hairloss.
“Clip It For Kids is an event to benefit our most precious treasure, our children,” says Bonnie Moore, Salon Owner. Children With Hairloss is a national non-profit organization that provides wigs to children with hairloss, free of charge. “In this struggling economy it’s more important than ever for local businesses to join together and give back to the community, and that’s what this event is all about,” says Moore.
“Making a difference” is the mission and driving force at Avantgarde dé Salon & Spa. And this mission extends beyond the clients that walk in the door or the staff who work at the salon. It extends to the neighboring businesses and surrounding community.
Hosted and coordinated by Avantgarde dé Salon & Spa, this event hopes to be the first of many collaborative community events to come. Contributing businesses include International Beverage, Vitales of Hudsonville, Hanenburg Builders, Cake Occasions, Besco Water Treatment and Residential Awnings.
