Allison
Stylist, Color SpecialistAllison has been working as a Licensed Cosmetologist at Avantgarde since 2005. She is the Kemon Color Coach for Avantgarde West. In October of 2009 Allison travelled to Italy where she attended the Kemon Color training school. She also specializes in haircutting, facials, pedicures, manicures and waxing.
Amy
Stylist, Nail Technician, Color SpecialistAmy graduated from Excel Academies of Cosmetology in 2003 and has been working at Avantgarde since December of 2007. Amy is the Kemon Color Coach for Avantgarde East Paris Location. In October, 2009 she travelled to Italy where she attended the Kemon Color training school. Amy has also received specialized training with Axxium Gel Nails and Glo skin care.
Becky
Stylist, Nail TechnicianBecky has been with Avantgarde since January of 2003. She graduated as a Licensed Cosmetologist from Booker Institute of Cosmetology in 2002. Becky is a Kemon Color Coach at Avantgrade West and has received specialized training in advanced cutting as well as with TIGI and Kemon Hair Color from Italy. In addition, she has also received special training with Axxium Nails and Creative Nails. Becky enjoys working with gel and natural nails as well as doing color services.
Carmen
StylistCarmen has been a member of the Avantgarde team since March of 2010. She attended Chic University and graduated as a licensed cosmetologist in January of 2008. Carmen specializes in rejuvenating and reconstructing hair through natural techniques to utilize its natural beauty.
Dana
Cosmetologist, Nail TechnicianDana has been with Avantgarde since 2005. In addition to graduating from Career Beauty College in 1985, Dana has also received certification as a Professional Nail Technician from OPI as well as Creative Nail of Axxium. As an experienced professional she specializes in silk overlays, odorless acrylic, Axxium Gel and regular acrylic.
Diane
Administrative AssistantDiane has been with Avantgarde since September of 2008. With an Associate degree in Business from Grand Rapids Community College, Diane is the former owner of Gallery of Kitchens, Inc.
Elisa
StylistElisa has been with Avantgarde since December of 2007. She graduated from Career Line Technical Center as a Licensed Cosmetologist in 2000. She has received specialized training with TIGI, Kemon Hair Color from Italy and specialized cutting classes. Elisa enjoys working with hair color, doing updo’s and specialized haircuts.
Heather
StylistHeather has been with Avantgarde since 2005. She graduated from Kent Career Technical Center as a licensed cosmetologist in 1989. Heather enjoys attending continuous education courses and events to keep up with the latest techniques, styles and trends.
Jessica
StylistJessica has been with Avantgarde since August of 2009. She graduated from Chic University of Cosmetology as a licensed cosmetologist in 2000. Jessica has received specialized training with Kemon Hair Color from Italy as well as cutting classes to learn the latest trends and styles. She enjoys specializing in hair color and working with curly hair.
Kaitlyn
StylistKaitlyn has been with Avantgarde since April of 2009. She graduated from Excell Academy of Cosmetology as a licensed cosmetologist in 2006. Kaitlyn enjoys working will all hair types and regularly attends continuing education courses and events to keep up with the latest techniques, styles and trends.
Katie
StylistKatie has been with Avantgarde since December of 2007. She graduated from Excel Cosmetology School as a Licensed Cosmetologist in 2006 and has received specialized training with Bedhead, Kemon Hair Color from Italy and TNG World Wide. Katie enjoys working with hair color and specializes in cutting curly or thin hair.

StylistKatie has been with Avantgarde since March of 2010. She graduated from Douglas J Aveda Institute as a licensed cosmetologist in 2009. Katie has received specialized training with Kemon Hair Color from Italy. In addition to the latest hair trends, Katie also specializes in natural and french manicures, pedicures, hair extensions, special occasion updo’s and makeup.
Kelsey
StylistKelsey has been with Avantgarde since March of 2007. She graduated from Stanley Harris School of Cosmetology as a Licensed Cosmetologist in 2006. Kelsey has received specialized training with TIGI and Kemon Hair Color from Italy as well as in razor cutting and updo’s. She enjoys specializing in hair color and updo’s.
Lisa
Stylist, Nail TechnicianLisa graduated from Chic University of Cosmetology in 2001 and has been with Avantgarde since December of 2007.
Martee
Licensed Esthetician and StylistMartee has been with Avantgarde since April of 2010. She graduated from Ottawa Area Vocational School in 1982 and enjoys attending continues education and training courses. While Martee is a licensed cosmetologist, she is also a licensed esthetician and specializes in skin evaluations, customized facials, microdermabrasion, eyelash tinting, treatment of adult and adolescent acne, eye treatments and waxing. Her passion is improving skin elasticity and texture while reducing fine lines and wrinkles through a wide range of skin restoration techniques.

Administrative AssistantMichele has been a salon receptionist since 1994 and joined the Avantgarde team in the summer of 2008.
Natasha
Stylist, Color SpecialistNatasha has been with Avantgarde since 2006. She graduated from Chic University of Cosmetology in 2005. Natasha has received advance color training with Kemon Hair Color from Italy and has also received specialized training in makeup application, specialized cutting and up-dos. Natasha is currently on maternity leave for the birth of a new baby girl.
Rochelle
ReceptionistRochelle attended International Cosmetology Academy and has received specialized training with Mirabella Make Up, Glo Therapeutics, Theatre Make Up and Chemical Peels. Rochelle is the 2006 recipient of the Honorable Art Award at Caledonia High School for her use of Modern Make Up Media.
Sara
Therapeutic Massage TherapistSara received her certification as a Therapeutic Massage Therapist from Blue Heron Academy in 2007 and has been with Avantgarde since January of 2008. She offers a wide range of specialized massage therapy techniques for athletes, infants, during pregnancy, for muscle tension and soreness, individuals with Fibromyalgia, Migraines, TMJD, Sciatica and anyone seeking relaxation and overall wellness.
Sarah
Marketing CoordinatorSarah graduated from Grand Valley State University in 2003 with a degree in Public Administration and has been with Avantgarde since June, 2008. Before coming to Avantgarde she worked for Kent ISD as the Marketing Project Manager and for a national consulting firm as the Director of Marketing. Currently, Sarah is attending Pima Community College in Tucson, Arizona where she is pursuing continued education in Graphic Design.
